Hank Conger went 0-for-5 on Tuesday and is hitting .140 with no extra-base hits in 43 at-bats for Double-A Arkansas.
If the Angels had just turned Conger into a first baseman upon drafting him in 2006, he'd likely be a significantly better prospect right now. He always figured to struggle to make it as a catcher, and he's had to deal with a number of injuries while playing the position. That he's been limited to 700 at-bats since being drafted is part of the reason he hasn't developed as hoped offensively. |
