According to Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker, Akinori Iwamura could be a possibility for the Dodgers.
Newman cites a Sanspo.com report that says the Rays would likely pick up his $4.85 million option for 2010, then move him to Los Angeles, or another team, in a potential sign-and-trade. Though the contract is a bit of gamble, the Dodgers will have a void to fill at second base with Ronnie Belliard and Orlando Hudson about to hit the open market. Iwamura has a .281/.354/.393 over three seasons in the majors. He was limited to just 69 games in 2009 after tearing his ACL in May. Source: NPB Tracker
