Wade Davis yielded five runs -- three earned -- in five-plus innings to take a loss against the Yankees on Sunday.
Davis was doing just fine through the first five scoreless innings, but he gave up a three-run homer to Alex Rodriguez and departed with two runners on base that would eventually score. Despite the rough inning, Davis' rookie campaign was encouraging as he posted a 3.72 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 36/13 K/BB in 36 1/3 innings. He'll be someone to target next season.

 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 29 - 9:48 pm et

Wade Davis held the Orioles to one run over seven innings in a 3-1 win on Tuesday night.
Davis held the Orioles in check yet again, scattering seven hits against three strikeouts and three walks. The only run scored on a third-inning single by Luke Scott. The 24-year-old rookie is 2-1 with a 3.45 ERA and 31/11 K/BB ratio over his first five starts in the majors.
 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 23 - 10:37 pm et

Wade Davis gave up four runs -- two earned -- over 5 2/3 innings against the Mariners on Wednesday night, but took a no-decision in an eventual 5-4 win.
After throwing 124 pitches in his last start, Davis wasn't quite as sharp on Wednesday, allowing seven hits while walking one and striking out six. Still, since only two of the runs were earned, he actually made for a pretty decent spot-starter. Davis has a 4.07 ERA and 28/8 K/BB ratio over his first four starts in the majors. He'll probably draw two more starts before the season comes to a close.
 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 17 - 10:20 pm et

Wade Davis tossed a complete-game shutout against the Orioles on Thursday night, earning his first major league victory.
Now that's what you call a rebound start. Davis gave up just four hits and three walks, while setting a career-high with 10 strikeouts (his previous high was nine, set in his major league debut). His 124 pitches were the most by a Rays' starter all season. With a 23-year-old pitcher, starts like last week's are bound to happen, but this kid has a wicked curveball. He has 4.34 ERA and 22/7 K/BB ratio over his first three starts (18 2/3 innings) in the majors. He makes for an intriguing option against the Mariners next week.
 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 17 - 10:17 am et

Despite his struggles, right-hander Wade Davis has been granted a third start with the Rays.
Davis will take on the Orioles Thursday at Camden Yards and is in no way a fantasy option. He allowed eight earned runs last weekend against the Red Sox and holds an 8.38 ERA on the season.

 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 13 - 12:02 am et

Wade Davis surrendered eight earned runs over 2 2/3 innings Saturday evening against the Red Sox.
Davis was solid in his major league debut last week against a tough Tigers lineup, but had nothing going Saturday. He walked four and allowed six hits in a disappointing performance. The Rays may be forced to go back to Andy Sonnanstine next week against the Orioles.
