Felipe Paulino tossed five innings of one-run ball in a win over the Phillies on Thursday night.
It wasn't a good season for Paulino, who will finish with a 3-11 record and 6.27 ERA, but he showed flashes at times and did post a solid 93-to-37 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 97 2/3 innings of work. He's only 25 and possesses a reasonably strong minor-league track record, so he's likely to get another shot next year. If he can cut down on the hits and home runs, he could be a great sleeper. |
