Braves recalled second baseman Brooks Conrad from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Conrad hit .344/.382/.688 with two home runs and eight RBI in 32 at-bats with the Braves, quickly becoming a fan favorite. Atlanta has a crowded infield, but he's already made a case for playing time and is worth using in fantasy on a matchup-to-matchup basis. Time to step up lineup-checking efforts.

Braves optioned second baseman Brooks Conrad to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Conrad hit .344/.382/.688 with two home runs and eight RBI in 32 at-bats with the Braves, but Kelly Johnson is ready to contribute to the world again after a long rehab assignment. Conrad could be back up before September, but if not, he'll be an exciting addition when rosters expand.

Brooks Conrad contributed a two-run homer and an RBI triple in a losing cause Friday.
He also singled. Conrad is 11-for-31 with two homers, two triples and eight RBI since being called up. The Braves will keep looking for ways to fit him in until he cools off, but it's doubtful that he'll have any long-term value.

Pinch-hitter Brooks Conrad hit a three-run homer in his first at-bat as a Brave to help the team beat the Nationals 9-8 on Friday.
Conrad was just called up as the replacement for Kelly Johnson on the roster. The longtime Astros prospect went 3-for-19 with no homers and nine strikeouts in his major league debut with the A's last season. He wasn't hitting particularly well in Triple-A, and it seems unlikely that he'll be an asset in fantasy leagues while serving as a bench player for Atlanta.

Braves recalled IF Brooks Conrad from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Conrad had a reasonable .769 OPS with nine home runs for Triple-A Gwinnett, but will serve as Martin Prado's backup, making his fantasy value minimal. He can also play third base, however, so watch for the inevitable next injury to Chipper Jones.
