Huston Street (sore right biceps tendon) threw a successful bullpen session on Wednesday and is in line to return to the Rockies' bullpen Sunday.
Street said he feels healthy. He understands that his first few appearances will come in a setup capacity. "You can’t be selfish. Franklin (Morales) has done a great job," Street said. "The last thing you want to do is hurt the team. And in that role, there’s no way around it. If you aren’t right, the team can lose. This is the right decision. I can’t wait to get back out there." The bottom line for fantasy? Morales should be in most lineups next week.

 Huston Street-R - Rockies Sep. 14 - 9:24 pm et

Huston Street (sore right biceps tendon) has rejoined the Rockies and will throw a bullpen session Tuesday.
Street will not return to the closer's role, as the team would prefer to ease him back into pitching. If he suffers no setbacks, he'll likely open up October as the closer. Franklin Morales should still see the remainder of saves for most fantasy playoff formats.

Huston Street (biceps) is unlikely to pitch against the Padres this weekend, according to pitching coach Bob Apodaca.
Although Street is making progress, Apodaca said the idea that he would return against the Padres "was too optimistic." The Rockies aren't in an especially big hurry due to the productivity of fill in Franklin Morales, who has converted five-of-five saves without allowing an earned run since taking over. "It absolutely allows us to (be more patient with Street)," Apodaca said.

Huston Street (biceps) is expected to begin playing catch Monday.
Rockies trainer Keith Dugger said Sunday that Street will make 15-20 throws from a maximum of 50-60 feet. He's hoping to return to ninth-inning duties by the end of the week. For now, Franklin Morales will continue to fill in.

An MRI on Huston Street's sore right arm Thursday revealed no structural damage of any kind.
Street still has to wait until the soreness in his biceps muscle dissipates, but he should be back to ninth-inning duties by the end of next week. For now, Franklin Morales will fill in as closer.

 Franklin Morales-R - Rockies Sep. 3 - 1:22 pm et

Franklin Morales will take over closing duties in Colorado while Huston Street is sidelined with biceps tendinitis.
"Franklin wants to be out there, and that's part of it," manager Jim Tracy said Thursday. "Did you see his emotion out there? He's going to get the ball until we get Huston back." Morales has a 2.93 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 31/13 K/BB ratio in 30 2/3 innings this season. He'll do fine in the role and warrants ownership in all leagues as the Rockies make a run for the playoffs.
