 Andy Sonnanstine-S- RaysNov. 13 - 10:17 am et
Andy Sonnanstine has already begun working out this winter in the hopes of avoid another disastrous season.
Sonnanstine finished 2009 with a 6-9 record, 6.77 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. "Currently I am working out harder and more often than I ever have before," the righty said Thursday. "The 2009 season was a rough year for me to say the least, and that alone has helped me push myself to get stronger, smarter and craftier. I am very excited for a great season ahead of me in 2010."

 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 13 - 12:02 am et

Wade Davis surrendered eight earned runs over 2 2/3 innings Saturday evening against the Red Sox.
Davis was solid in his major league debut last week against a tough Tigers lineup, but had nothing going Saturday. He walked four and allowed six hits in a disappointing performance. The Rays may be forced to go back to Andy Sonnanstine next week against the Orioles.
 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 8 - 6:24 pm et

Wade Davis will remain in the Rays' starting rotation, bumping Andy Sonnanstine to the bullpen.
It's clearly the right decision. Davis held a tough Tigers lineup to one run over seven innings Sunday in his major league debut, while Sonnanstine is sporting an ugly 7.23 ERA in 17 starts. Davis is worth grabbing in mixed leagues.

 Wade Davis-S - Rays Sep. 2 - 3:40 pm et

The Rays are reportedly calling up Wade Davis to make his major league debut on Sunday.
The 2004 third-round pick has had a strong season at Triple-A Durham, going 10-8 with a 3.40 ERA and 140/60 K/BB ratio in 158 2/3 innings. Davis takes over Scott Kazmir's spot in the rotation, with Andy Sonnanstine likely having his turn moved to Monday, when the Rays play a doubleheader against the Yankees. Davis is worth an add in AL-only leagues.

 Andy Sonnanstine-S - Rays Sep. 1 - 11:19 pm et

Andy Sonnanstine was rocked by five runs (three earned) over four innings in an 8-4 loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday night.
He looked to have found his command again in the minors, but it was the same old Sonnanstine on Tuesday, as he allowed eight hits, including two homers while walking four. Now with a 6.62 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in 85 2/3 innings this season, he won't be able to survive in the big leagues if he continues to allow this many baserunners.
 Andy Sonnanstine-S - Rays Sep. 1 - 11:44 am et

Rays recalled RHP Andy Sonnanstine from Triple-A Durham.
Sonnanstine is scheduled to take the rotation spot vacated by Scott Kazmir with a start Tuesday against the Red Sox. He posted a 6.61 ERA for the Rays and hasn't been much better on the Triple-A level. We'd stay far away from the 26-year-old righty in almost every fantasy situation.
