Nyjer Morgan is leading off and playing center field for the Nationals on Friday.
Obviously, he's appealing his eight-game suspension, just like he did his earlier seven-game suspension. He'll have to pay the price at some point.

 Nyjer Morgan-OF - Nationals Sep. 3 - 1:24 pm et

MLB suspended outfielder Nyjer Morgan eight games for charging the mound in Wednesday's game versus the Marlins.
And other various acts of stupidity. Morgan was already facing a seven-game suspension, so it looks like he'll end up sitting out 15 games this month. The Nationals will use Roger Bernadina in center field and probably Mike Morse in right while Morgan is absent.

According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, Nyjer Morgan was suspended eight games for his actions over the past week.
Specifically, Morgan ran into Cardinals backup catcher Bryan Anderson on Saturday, flattened Marlins catcher Brett Hayes on Tuesday and incited a benches-clearing brawl by charging the mound on Wednesday. This is bad enough on its own, but he was also seen jawing with fans on separate occasions. Major league baseball probably didn't like that too much. He's expected to go through the appeals process, but if both suspensions hold up, Morgan could miss a total of 15 games.

A baseball source tells Bill Ladson of MLB.com that Nyjer Morgan's appeal hearing was pushed back from next Tuesday to Friday.
Morgan is currently appealing a seven-game suspension for hitting a fan with a thrown ball at Citizens Bank Park. That isn't the end of his troubles, however. The Nationals are still awaiting word to hear how long he will be suspended for his actions during Wednesday's melee with the Marlins.

Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that Nyjer Morgan is likely to be handed a suspension from Major League Baseball on Friday.
MLB will review all of his recent infractions, including an incident with a fan in Philadelphia from mid-August, his running into a Cardinals backup catcher a week later, his hit on Marlins catcher Brett Hayes on Tuesday, and his charging of the mound in Florida on Wednesday night. Olney suspects that the 30-year-old Morgan could see a suspension of over 10 games.

 Nyjer Morgan-OF - Nationals Sep. 1 - 9:28 pm et

Nyjer Morgan was ejected from Wednesday's game for starting a benches-clearing brawl with the Marlins.
Morgan was hit by a retaliatory pitch in the early innings but stole second and third base in a blowout and irked the Marlins yet again. So Florida pitcher Chris Volstad threw behind him in the sixth inning and all hell broke loose. Morgan threw a punch at Volstad, Volstad himself was tackled by a Nationals coach, and a big pile-up formed just to the right of the mound. Morgan is sure to see some additional punishment from the commissioner's office. Remember, he's already appealing a seven-game suspension for throwing a ball at a Phillies fan in mid-August.
