 Luis Valbuena-2B- IndiansOct. 25 - 9:01 am et
Luis Valbuena may be in a platoon with Jason Donald to open up 2010, according to Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Valbuena hit just .250 with a .298 OBP on the season, but that came with 10 dingers in 368 at-bats. He was impressive against right-handers that he enters spring training the odds-on favorite to start. With Valbuena's poor numbers against left-handers dating back to his minor league career, Jason Donald shouldn't have any difficulty wedging his way into a platoon.

 Luis Valbuena-2B - Indians Aug. 22 - 10:44 pm et

Luis Valbuena hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning Saturday as the Indians defeated the Mariners 4-3.
It was Valbuena's only hit of the game, but came with a tasty helping of fireworks. He's batting just .244 this season, but has a total of seven home runs and 20 RBI in 242 at-bats. The Indians are clearly pleased with his play against right-handers and he should draw a decent amount of at-bats down the stretch.
 Luis Valbuena-2B - Indians Jul. 11 - 10:25 pm et

Luis Valbuena doubled twice in four at-bats against the Tigers on Saturday.
Valbuena has started five games to Jamey Carroll's four this month, and he's off to a nice 7-for-18 start. With Carroll's production fading, perhaps Valbuena could soon be a regular against righties.
 Luis Valbuena-2B - Indians Jun. 20 - 5:47 pm et

Luis Valbuena was 3-for-5 with two homers in a wild extra-inning loss to the Cubs on Saturday afternoon.
Valbuena is doing a great Ryan Theriot imitation at Wrigley Field so far. He entered the series with just one home run in his first 142 major league at-bats, but has already gone deep three times in the first two games of the series.
 Luis Valbuena-2B - Indians Jun. 19 - 7:41 pm et

Luis Valbuena hit a three-run homer off Rich Harden and walked Friday against the Cubs.
With five hits in three games, Valbuena has raised his average to .204. Under ideal circumstances, the Indians would send him back down following Asdrubal Cabrera's return from a shoulder injury. Still, he might stick around and be the second baseman the rest of the way.
 Luis Valbuena-2B - Indians Jun. 7 - 5:52 pm et

Luis Valbuena hit one of four Indian solo home runs in an 8-4 win over the White Sox on Sunday.
Shin-Soo Choo, Victor Martinez, and Chris Gimenez also homered. The homer was the first of Valbeuna's big league career and came in his 113th at-bat. He entered the day with a 552 OPS on the season and will need to do significantly better than that to remain a regular. However, the Indians have every reason to show patience with him, and he has done pretty well in the minors.
