Sean West was reportedly involved in a fight and nearly got into another fight on Saturday night.
This info comes courtesy of a limo driver by the name of Big Penny, who provided details of West's alleged scuffles outside a club and adventures in a limousine with five women. It's doubtful that the incident was serious enough for the Marlins to consider discipline, but if nothing else it's an entertaining non-playoff story on the first day of the postseason.

Sean West hurled six innings of one-run ball in a 2-1 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday night.
Not many people can say they have outdueled Adam Wainwright this season, but that's exactly what West did. He held the first-place Cardinals to six hits while striking out a career-high nine and walking three. The rookie southpaw is 7-5 with a 4.60 ERA in 18 starts this season. He has the lowly Reds up next on the docket.

Sean West was pulled from his Thursday start after rolling his right ankle.
West stumbled while running the bases in the fourth inning and was pulled after only a few pitches in the fifth. "That was just a pitcher running the bases right there," West said. "I got up and I was fine. It's just a little embarrassing, but I'm fine." He's slated to start Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Sean West held the Padres to three runs -- one earned -- in six innings to record a win on Sunday.
West struck out seven and walked just two while allowing seven hits. The left-hander now stands at 6-5 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 15 starts. Today's outing against the Padres was certainly nice, but it was the Padres afterall and West's WHIP and poor K/BB (47/35 in 81 innings) say he's still just a spot-starter in fantasy leagues.

Sean West held the Mets to one run over six innings in a 2-1 win on Tuesday night.
West had a favorable matchup against a depleted Mets team and held them to six hits against two strikeouts and three walks. The only run scored on an RBI single by Fernando Tatis in the fourth inning. The 23-year-old left-hander has a 4.44 ERA over 14 starts this season but he has a 3.15 ERA in four starts since returning from Double-A Jacksonville.

Sean West allowed just one run over six innings on Thursday night as the Marlins topped the Astros 9-2.
A fine outing for the rookie, making his second start since returning from Double-A. West yielded only five hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out three in his first big-league quality start since June 25. He's worth keeping an eye on down the stretch, but should only be counted on in very favorable match-ups.
