
Despite his struggles this year, Matt Capps will head into spring training next season as the Pirates' closer.
Capps has a 5.91 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and five blown saves through 56 appearances this season. "Barring some unforeseen circumstance, if Matt comes into camp in the best shape, ready to pitch, he will be our closer," Huntington said. "We absolutely believe in him.
