After getting the last few days off to rest his shoulder, Joakim Soria said there is nothing wrong with his arm.
"It’s much better," Soria said. "My arm just needed a little extra rest after Sunday. That’s all. I’m fine." Soria had a 46-pitch outing Sunday against the Twins. Kyle Farnsworth blew a save in Tuesday's 4-3 loss.

Joakim Soria sustained his third blown save of the season on Monday night, surrendering three runs in 2/3 of an inning.
Soria came on in the eighth to protect a one-run lead, but put a pair of runners on before allowing a three-run homer to Luis Valbuena. The blown save was his first since June 24, but Soria simply has not looked like himself lately. He entered August with a 1.52 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and only one homer allowed in 29 2/3 innings on the season, but has now yielded eight runs on 12 hits -- four homers -- in 9 2/3 innings this month.

Joakim Soria is expected to be available Monday as the Royals kick off a four-game series with the Orioles.
Soria was unavailable Sunday after picking up a six-out save on Saturday night. "Asking a guy to go get six outs, you can see what it takes out of him," said Kansas City manager Trey Hillman. "Even a guy that locates -- he located pretty good -- but you get a couple guys fouling balls off, and pretty soon, you're closer has 39 or 40 pitches." Soria is 15-for-17 in save chances this season and boasts a 1.63 earned-run average.

Royals activated RHP Joakim Soria from the 15-day disabled list.
The Royals went just 5-16 while Soria was sidelined with a rotator cuff injury, and fantasy owners should go ahead and get him activated immediately. He has a 2.08 ERA, 10/4 K/BB ratio and seven saves in 8 2/3 innings so far this season.

Joakim Soria (rotator cuff) isn't likely to return to the Royals before the end of the weekend.
Soria was solid in a rehab outing Saturday, but the Royals may play it safe and have him spend a few days at Triple-A. "[I] don't know," manager Trey Hillman said. "I wouldn't rule anything out, but we're not going to know until he gets back here and we see how he recovers from what he did today."

Joakim Soria (rotator cuff) has a rehab outing scheduled today in Arizona, and could rejoin the team shortly if all goes well, possibly skipping a stint in Triple-A.
"When we see how he does there (in Arizona)," Moore said, "and we’ll make an evaluation on whether he needs to go to (Class AAA) Omaha." It sounds it's possible Soria could be active as soon as next week.
