Triple-A New Orleans right-hander Ryan Tucker underwent surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is likely to be sidelined for at least two months.
The 2005 first-round pick had struggled thus far this season with a 17.36 ERA in 4 2/3 innings for New Orleans. He could be ready to rejoin the rotation in late June.

Ryan Tucker was torched for seven runs in 1 2/3 innings in his start for Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday.
The Palm Beach Post reported today that Tucker was placed on the disabled list following the outing, though the paper doesn't know what the injury is yet.

The Marlins' 2005 first-round pick, Tucker has a promising future if he can hone his control. He walked eight batters in 4 1/3 innings this spring. Tucker will open the season in New Orleans' rotation, but the Marlins have toyed with the idea of switching him to relief.
