The Athletics and OF Rajai Davis avoided arbitration Tuesday by agreeing to a one-year, $1.35 million contract.
Davis, 29, batted .305/.360/.423 with 27 doubles and 41 stolen bases in 390 at-bats last season. He's a must-own in AL-only leagues heading into 2010 and should find a home on most mixed league squads.

 Rajai Davis-OF - Athletics Sep. 19 - 12:40 am et

Rajai Davis was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in a win over the Indians on Friday night.
Another day, another stolen base. Davis now has 40 stolen bases on the year in just 110 games. He has 10 stolen bases this month, including one in each of the last four games. While he's a serious threat on the basepaths, he wouldn't be stealing anywhere near as much without a cool .409 batting average this month.

Rajai Davis was 3-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base in a win over the Rangers on Tuesday night.
Davis continued his assault on the stat sheet on Tuesday, ripping two RBI singles and driving in a third run with a bases-loaded walk. Davis also swiped his 37th stolen base in the victory. He is batting an astounding .347 with 34 RBI, 35 runs scored and 26 stolen bases in 53 games since the All-Star break. Grab him.
 Rajai Davis-OF - Athletics Sep. 10 - 12:19 am et

Rajai Davis was 3-for-6 with two stolen bases and a run scored in an extra-inning loss to the Athletics on Wednesday night.
Just another day for Davis. He now leads the majors with 23 stolen bases since the All-Star break. With 34 stolen bases total, Davis is the first Athletic to steal 30 bases in a season since Rickey Henderson in 1998. With a style of play that suits their stadium well, he's making a strong argument to be an everyday player in 2010. If this keeps up, fantasy owners won't complain.

Rajai Davis was 3-for-6 with three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday night.
A big fantasy surprise, Davis is now batting .303/.365/.423 in 284 at-bats this season. The 28-year-old outfielder has been fantastic since the All-Star break, swiping 21 bases and scoring 31 runs in 47 games. Pick him up if you need the speed.
 Ryan Sweeney-OF - Athletics Sep. 5 - 7:58 pm et

Ryan Sweeney is out of the lineup Saturday due to knee soreness.
Sweeney had knee trouble back in June that necessitated a disabled list trip. He is expected to play Sunday. On the season, Sweeney has a .278/.330/.389 line in full-time duty. The A's are looking to upgrade their offense this offseason, and center field is a logical place to start. Rajai Davis is filling in.
