Alberto Arias (knee) suffered a setback during a bullpen session Wednesday.
Arias won't be activated Friday, and could be shut down for the rest of the season. "I didn't feel very good," he said. "The doctor will check me out again soon, and we'll see what happens." The right-hander has been sidelined since August 24 with Fabella syndrome behind his right knee.

Alberto Arias (knee) is scheduled to throw a simulated inning Wednesday.
If all goes well, the Astros are likely to activate Arias from the disabled list Friday. He's been out since August 24 with Fabella syndrome behind his right knee. "Seeing situations in the game when you know you could help is tough," the right-hander said Tuesday. "Now if I'm activated, the pitchers can get some rest."

Arias was given a cortisone injection and has been prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. He's aiming to throw a bullpen session Wednesday for the first time since hitting the disabled list and is still hoping to return to the Houston bullpen by the end of the regular season.
