2008 first-round pick Eric Hosmer went 2-for-4 with a homer and a walk Sunday for low Single-A Burlington.
The 18-year-old Hosmer followed up a .222/.342/.286 month of April by hitting .299/.413/.483 in May. All three of his homers and three-quarters of his 27 RBI came last month.

Eric Hosmer doubled twice and walked twice Thursday for low Single-A Burlington.
While it was a nice game, Hosmer, the third overall selection in the 2008 draft, appears to be at least a year away from putting up quality minor league numbers. The 19-year-old is currently hitting .222/.342/.286 with 21 strikeouts in 63 at-bats. He's yet to homer in 74 at-bats as a pro.
