Brewers signed RHP Mark DiFelice to a minor league contract.
The Brewers non-tendered DiFelice last week after he underwent shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff. He is expected to miss next season, but the Brewers hope he can rehab and return at some point in the future. Brewers right-hander Mark DiFelice will likely miss 2010 after undergoing shoulder surgery this week to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff.
DiFelice expects to be released by the Brewers but hopes he is signed to a minor league deal; an arrangement that the club made with Chris Capuano after his Tommy John surgery. "I don't know what they will do," said DiFelice. "It's up to them now. They seem to like me. It's all speculation now. Right now, I'm in limbo." The 33-year-old DiFelice posted a 3.66 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 48/15 K/BB ratio this past year.

Brewers placed RHP Mark DiFelice on the 60-day disabled list with a strained right shoulder.
DiFelice dodged a bullet when an MRI on his right shoulder came back clean, but the injury is apparently serious enough for the Brewers to shut him down. The 33-year-old right-hander was 4-1 with a 3.66 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 59 games this season, but had a 9.45 ERA over his last 20 appearances.

Mark DiFelice's MRIs came back clean after being tested for a sore right shoulder.
DiFelice feared that the injury, suffered Sunday, was similar to the one that caused him to need surgery following the 2001 season. He will be shut down for four days before being re-evaluated. The 32-year old has been an impressive contributor out of the Brewers' bullpen.
