Clayton Richard and two relievers combined in a one-hit 5-0 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday night.
Richard hurled seven shutout frames, giving up only a Matt Kemp single in the first inning. He walked three and struck out two in the win, improving to 5-2 with a 4.08 ERA over 12 starts since coming over in the Jake Peavy deal. He finishes his season at 9-5 with a 4.41 ERA over 38 appearances (26 starts). While his command remains a concern, his sinker-ball tendencies should serve him well at PETCO Park.

Clayton Richard limited the Pirates to one run over six innings on Saturday afternoon, but took a no-decision in an eventual 2-1 win.
Richard gave up just four singles while fanning five and walking three in the no-decision. He held the Pirates scoreless after a first-inning RBI single by Ryan Doumit. Richard is 4-2 with a 4.76 ERA in 10 starts since coming over from the White Sox.

Clayton Richard gave up three runs in five innings while striking out eight Rockies on Sunday.
The Padres won the game 7-3, but Richard had already left the game when the Padres took the lead for good. Richard walked three and gave up three hits in the outing. He now has a 5.40 ERA and 39/26 K/BB in 45 innings over nine starts since joining the Padres. He'll get the Pirates in Pittsburgh next time out.

Clayton Richard tossed 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball in a 4-1 win over the Nationals on Tuesday night.
Richard held the Nationals to just four hits while striking out six and walking two. He actually blanked them until a solo homer by Josh Bard in the seventh. The effort continues his wild splits since joining the Padres -- Richard has a 9.75 ERA in three road starts and a 1.88 ERA in four home starts. He obviously shouldn't be used away from San Diego.

Clayton Richard coughed up six runs on nine hits over just 2 1/3 innings in a loss to the Braves on Thursday night.
Since coming over to the Padres, Richard has a 2.08 ERA in three home starts and a 9.75 ERA in three road starts. Don't use him away from Petco.

Clayton Richard combined with three relievers on a shutout of the Cardinals on Friday night.
Richard allowed five hits, walked three and struck out six while throwing 103 pitches in six innings. After he departed, Luke Gregerson, Mike Adams and Heath Bell all pitched perfect frames in the 4-0 win. Richard is 3-0 since joining the Padres, though it is worth noting that both of his starts away from Petco Park were subpar (7 ER in 9 2/3 IP).
