Scott Richmond yielded five earned runs over four innings Saturday evening in a loss to the Orioles.
Richmond surrendered seven hits and two walks while watching his ERA jump to 5.52 and his record fall to 8-11. He put together an excellent first half this season, but struggled mightily after coming down with a shoulder injury in July. He now has the entire offseason to rest and work back to form.

Scott Richmond yielded four runs over six innings in a win over the Red Sox on Monday night.
After a strong first three months, Richmond hit the disabled list at the end of June and hasn't been the same since. In 10 starts since his late-July return, he is 2-5 with an 8.21 ERA and 12 home runs allowed in 49 1/3 innings. Hopefully an offseason of rest can get him back to the form he showed in the first half.

Scott Richmond was smoked for five runs over two-plus innings in an 11-4 loss to the Rays on Friday night.
Richmond tossed two scoreless frames to start the game, but it all came apart at the seams in the third as he gave up five straight hits without recording an out. All told, he allowed seven hits while walking one and striking out two. Richmond has a 8.92 ERA in eight starts since coming off the disabled list. Now 6-10 with a 5.31 ERA, Richmond has lost six straight decisions.

Scott Richmond yielded four runs over seven innings in a 7-3 loss to the Angels on Saturday afternoon.
Richmond yielded six hits, including a homer while walking three and fanning 10. It was the second time Richmond had reached double-digits in strikeouts this season -- he struck out 11 against the Phillies on June 17. Richmond now has a 91/38 K/BB ratio in 101 1/3 innings this season. He gets the Red Sox next.

Scott Richmond allowed three runs over six innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Tuesday.
Richmond struck out eight and allowed only two walks. He left with a 4-3 lead, but the Toronto bullpen blew the lead in the eighth inning. It was an encouraging outing for Richmond after he was shelled for six runs -- four earned -- in his return from the disabled list on July 31 against the A's. On 10-days rest, things went better this time around. Richmond takes a 4.01 ERA into next week's tussle with the Red Sox.
 Scott Richmond-S - Blue Jays Aug. 1 - 1:30 am et

In his return from the disabled list on Friday, Scott Richmond lasted just three innings, allowing six runs -- four earned -- as he fell to 6-6 on the year.
Richmond was shaky in his return, yielding seven hits against three walks and a pair of strikeouts. Remember that he allowed three runs or less in eight of his last nine starts before hitting the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis earlier this month. He merits some patience right now.
