Daniel Hudson moved to 5-1 as a Diamondback by limiting the Giants to a run in seven innings Wednesday.

Hudson has a 1.91 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP in eight starts for his new team. Getting him for Edwin Jackson has made the offseason Max Scherzer deal look a whole lot better at the moment.

Daniel Hudson pitched six innings of two-run ball as part of a no-decision against the Astros on Friday night.

Hudson has been excellent since coming over from the White Sox. He went 4-1 with a 2.44 ERA in August and is showing no signs of letting up after striking out six and walking one tonight. Keep the top prospect going against the Giants next week.

Manager Kirk Gibson says that the D-backs have "some tricks up our sleeves for September" regarding how they will handle the pitching staff in the final month.

It's not clear what those tricks are, but they're likely to do something to curtain the workload of youngsters like Ian Kennedy, Daniel Hudson and Barry Enright. Kennedy has thrown 151 1/3 innings this year, Enright has thrown a combined 153 between Double-A and the majors, and Hudson has thrown a combined 145 2/3 between Triple-A and the majors.

Daniel Hudson threw seven shutout innings against the Rockies on Sunday but took a no-decision in a 1-0 Diamondbacks' loss.

Hudson pitched to a draw against Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin, but Aaron Heilman broke a 0-0 tie when he gave up an RBI single to Dexter Fowler in the eighth. Hudson struck out nine and walked just two in the contest, giving him an absurd 36/6 K/BB in 36 2/3 innings spread over five starts since joining the NL. He remains a must start with the Giants due up next.

Daniel Hudson fanned 10 on Tuesday, but still took a loss after giving up three runs in seven innings versus the Reds.

Hudson walked 11 in 15 2/3 innings for the White Sox, but he has an impressive 27/4 K/BB ratio in 29 2/3 innings since the trade. He's a pretty good play in all formats right now.

Daniel Hudson threw seven innings of two-run ball in the Diamondbacks' 8-2 victory over the Brewers on Wednesday.

Hudson racked up nine strikeouts against one walk, improving to 3-0 as a member of the Diamondbacks. He was an intriguing prospect as part of the White Sox organization, and now he's a full-fledged must-own in fantasy leagues. Grab him in time for next week's outing against the Reds.
