Pirates acquired INF Jesus Brito from the Indians for SS Brian Bixler.
In three minor league seasons, Brito has played all over the diamond, with most time logged at third base, left field and first base. The 22-year-old is a career .256/.368/.371 hitter in 1,080 minor league plate appearances. He experienced a breakthrough in 2009, however, hitting .353/.431/.567. Brito is a player of moderate upside who was acquired for a moderate price. |
