Astros designated OF Jason Bourgeois for assignment.
That marriage didn't last long. The 'Stros claimed Bourgeois off waivers from the Brewers in late October but they needed to clear a roster spot for freshly inked starter Brett Myers. Bourgeois, who just turned 28, hit .316/.354/.401 with two homers and 36 steals in 105 games at Triple-A last year and should find employment in another organization.

Astros claimed outfielder Jason Bourgeois off waivers from the Brewers.
A speedy 27-year-old outfielder who's seen minimal time in the majors during stints with the Brewers and White Sox, Bourgeois hit .316/.354/.401 with two homers and 36 steals in 105 games at Triple-A this season. He'll compete for a bench job if he sticks with the Astros all offseason.

Jason Bourgeois is drawing the start in right field Friday because the Giants are throwing a left-hander.
Bourgeois is also expected to start Sunday, when Jonathan Sanchez marks the second lefty starting pitcher the Brewers will face in the series. The 27-year old could play his way into some value in NL-only leagues if the Brewers adopt a strict platoon.

Jason Bourgeois is getting the start in right field on Wednesday.
Frank Catalanotto has been getting the starting nod in right field lately, but is out of the lineup with Pirates lefty Paul Maholm on the mound. Given his lack of a regular starting gig, Bourgeois is not worth owning in NL-only leagues.

Brewers purchased the contract of infielder-outfielder Jason Bourgeois from Triple-A Nashville.
Bourgeois, 27, is known mainly for his speed, but has posted an impressive .316/.354/.401 line this year at Nashville despite much power. He was 36-for-43 on stolen base attempts and could be a nice addition in NL-only leagues if the Brewers find him enough playing time.

Brewers reassigned INF-OF Jason Bourgeois, RHP Mark Rogers, RHP Alex Periard and C Martin Maldonado to minor league camp.
Ahhh, the first cuts of the spring. Bourgeois, who would have had a slight chance of winning a bench spot, is currently unable to play because of a broken finger. He could be brought back to major league camp later. Rogers and Periard are both on the 40-man roster, but neither is being officially optioned to the minors yet. They're simply being shifted over because they're not ready to pitch right now. Rogers, a 2004 first-round pick, has missed the last two seasons with shoulder woes.
