Blue Jays optioned RHP Bryan Bullington to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Bulllington was perfect in three relief appearances before giving up two runs in three innings Thursday against Kansas City. He is being sent down alongside Brian Burres and their replacements won't be announced until Friday.

Blue Jays recalled RHP Bryan Bullington from Triple-A Las Vegas.
He replaced B.J. Ryan on the roster. Bullington was 1-1 with a 1.86 ERA in 9 2/3 innings of relief work this season. He is just another arm in bullpen as setup man Scott Downs has taken over the closer role in Ryan's absence.
 Buck Coats-OF - Royals Mar. 13 - 12:47 pm et

Blue Jays sent outfielder Buck Coats and RHP T.J. Beam outright to Triple-A Las Vegas; reassigned RHP Bryan Bullington to minor league camp.
The Jays keep whittling away at their 40-man roster in anticipation of making more waiver claims. Bullington and Fabio Castro were both bumped last week, so they have four openings now. The 26-year-old Coats had been on the 40-man since Dec. 2007, even though the team didn't think he was worthy of a September callup last year. He was 3-for-11 this spring.

Bryan Bullington won in relief after throwing two shutout innings against the Rays on Sunday.
The Jays like to claim players and then send them through waivers, but Bullington has remained on the 40-man roster since being picked up from the Indians in October. With so many pitchers ahead of him, it's hard to imagine him finding a spot on the Jays as a reliever. He'd actually have a better chance of winning a spot as a starter.
