Felix Pie missed a third straight game Monday with lingering hamstring tightness and may not return this year.
Pie tweaked his hamstring Friday night while trying to beat out a double-play ball and hasn't made significant progress. The Orioles only have a week left of baseball in 2009. If Pie is done, he'll finish the season with a .266/.326/.437 batting line, nine homers and 29 RBI in 252 at-bats.

Felix Pie (hamstring) is hoping to return to the O's lineup early next week.
Pie suffered a left hamstring injury in the seventh inning Friday night while trying to beat out a double-play. "We thought it was going to be a whole lot more severe than what it was," said Orioles manager Dave Trembley. Pie is 6-for-16 with three RBI on the club's current road trip.

Pie was attempting to beat out a double-play in the seventh inning, but fell to the ground after hitting the first base bag. MASN's Steve Melewski thinks he may have suffered a quad injury.

Pie hasn't played since September 11 due to spasms in his lower back. Jeff Fiorentino has filled in admirably, posting a .350 batting average and four RBI in 20 at-bats. He should continue to find a decent amount of playing time, even when Pie returns to full health.
