According to the Boston Globe, 36-year-old reliever Keith Foulke is hoping to make it back to the major leagues.
Foulke is currently pitching for the Newark Bears of the independent Atlantic League. "Any big league city is better than being here," he said Tuesday. "I'd even play for the Yankees. I still think I have something to offer." Foulke posted a 4.06 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 23/13 K/BB ratio with the A's in 2008, but wasn't offered a contract by a single MLB club this winter. |
