Hanley Ramirez left Tuesday's game after four innings with a tight left hamstring.

 Nick Johnson-1B - Yankees Aug. 16 - 2:09 pm et

Nick Johnson left Sunday's game after one inning with a hamstring injury.
Well, this was long overdue. Johnson had started 104 games this year and hadn't suffered a legitimate injury until now. The Marlins moved Ross Gload to first base to replace him today and put Jeremy Hermida in left field. If Johnson goes on the DL, either Jorge Cantu will move back to first, opening up playing time for Emilio Bonifacio, or Gaby Sanchez could be given an opportunity at the position.
 Cody Ross-OF - Marlins Aug. 13 - 9:26 pm et

Cody Ross left Thursday's game with a stiff lower back in the seventh inning.
Ross was 0-for-2 with a walk and run scored before departing. He's day to day, with Jeremy Hermida replacing him in the field. Emilio Bonifacio, a hot hitter again, might get another start tomorrow.
 Emilio Bonifacio-3B - Marlins Aug. 5 - 4:26 pm et

Emilio Bonifacio is getting the start in center field on Wednesday.
Bonifacio has primarily played third base this season, but the Marlins are working him into the outfield mix after the acquisition of Nick Johnson. With Bonifacio in center, Cody Ross moves to right with Chris Coghlan in left and Jeremy Hermida going to the bench against lefty John Lannan.

 Nick Johnson-1B - Yankees Jul. 31 - 6:01 pm et

Marlins acquired first baseman Nick Johnson from the Nationals for LHP Aaron Thompson.
A big pickup for Florida. They'll lose some range defensively by shifting Jorge Cantu back to third base, but Johnson will be an upgrade with the glove at first base and he'll add a healthy dose of OBP at the top of the order if Fredi Gonzalez is willing to bat him second. Emilio Bonifacio will likely start in left field against left-handers and serve as a defensive replacement at third. The Nats will probably shift Adam Dunn to first base and give Elijah Dukes another opportunity in the outfield. If they want Dukes to stay in Triple-A for a little while longer, then Mike Morse would seem to be in line for a callup.
 Hanley Ramirez-SS - Marlins Jul. 7 - 6:46 pm et

Hanley Ramirez will miss a third consecutive game Tuesday as he continues to deal with a strained right hip flexor.
Emilio Bonifacio is starting at shortstop and Dan Uggla is batting third. Ramirez will look to return on Wednesday. In 298 at-bats this season, he's batting .346 with 14 home runs, 60 RBI and 12 stolen bases.
