Bobby Kielty delivered a three-run homer off the bench Friday against the Cardinals.
It came against a lefty, of course. In this case, it was Royce Ring. Kielty told the Daily News before the game today that he's giving up switch-hitting, at least for now. It's something teams have tried to get him to do before, but he's resisted. Now he's such a borderline player that he really has no other choice. The Mets probably won't have room for him on their bench.
