Casey Mears will make his 250th-career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start this weekend in Texas, a mark that started with a 21st-place start and 27th-place finish in the 2003 Daytona 500.
Since then, the 31-year old driver has earned one victory (Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte, May 2007) 12 top-five and 46 top-10 finishes, along with three pole awards. In 11 Sprint Cup races at the 1.5-mile, Ft. Worth track, Mears has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes, which includes career best back-to-back, fourth-place finishes in 2005. -Richard Childress Racing

In 13 Sprint Cup Series starts at Talladega, Casey Mears has logged four top 10s, including a career-best sixth-place finish in the Oct. 2007 event with a best start of seventh April 2007.

Through his previous 13 starts at Martinsville Speedway, Casey Mears has earned three top 10s and raced 6,192 of 6,510 (95.1 percent) laps of competition with an average start of 25.5 and a 22.1 average finish.
His best start was 12th and best finish was 6th. When the Cup Series last visited Martinsville in March, Mears qualified 25th and finished in 21st place. Through his previous 13 starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Casey Mears earned his Sprint Cup Series victory winning the Coca-Cola 600 in 2007.
In addition to that victory, Mears has three top 10s. He has completed 4,304 of 4,512 (95.4 percent) laps of competition with an average start of 18.1 and a 22.5 average finish. His best start has been third, which he’s done twice.
