The Ford 400 will mark Tony Stewart’s 11th career Sprint Cup start at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Stewart’s third and ninth career Sprint Cup wins came at Homestead, as he swept the track’s first two races. He has led 343 of the 2,675 available laps at Homestead to pace the field 12.8 percent of the time. He is the only driver to lead in six of the 10 races at Homestead. He has never recorded a DNF (Did Not Finish) at Homestead and has completed all but three of the 2,675 laps available. Darian Grubb, crew chief on the No. 14 Office Depot Chevrolet driven by Tony Stewart in the Sprint Cup Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway wins the DIRECTV Crew Chief of the Race award.
The $5,900 award is presented to the crew chief of the driver who demonstrates the best qualifying and race effort as determined by averaging the sum of their qualifying and race finish for each event. Stewart started 4th and finished 6th. He is currently 5th in the 2009 Sprint Cup point standings after this race.

The AMP Energy 500 will mark Tony Stewart’s 389th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start and his 22nd Sprint Cup start at Talladega Superspeedway.
Prior to winning at Talladega on Oct. 5, 2008, Stewart finished second six times. He has nine top-fives and 12 top-10s in the 21 Cup starts. Stewart actually has two wins at Talladega. His breakthrough win here came on April 26, 2008 when he won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race from the pole. He led five times for a race-high 81 laps in the 117-lap race. - True Speed Communication

Tony Stewart will become the sixth driver to pilot the No. 5 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports this year, as he will compete in his only event for JRM this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Friday’s Dollar General 300 will be Stewart’s third NASCAR Nationwide Series race this season. In two starts, Stewart has one win (Daytona) for Hendrick Motorsports and a runner-up finish (Texas) for Kevin Harvick Inc.
