Carl Edwards tops the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice session for the November 21st Nationwide Series Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Edwards ran a fast lap of 168.613 mph in the No. 60 Ford. No. 33 Ryan Newman, No. 11 Denny Hamlin, No. 18 Kyle Busch and No. 99 Scott Speed rounded out the top 5 of the 47 cars out on the track. The No. 72 Ford, driven by Benny Gordon, was the slowest (157.983 mph) in the final practice session.

Carl Edwards will make his sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Homestead-Miami Speedway in this weekend’s Ford 400.
In his previous five starts, Edwards has accumulated one win, three top-five, four top-10 finishes and one pole. His average start at Homestead is 13.6, his average finish is 6.4 which is the best of all active drivers. He has also led a total of 251 laps there, third among active drivers. Carl Edwards wins the Able Body Labor 200, his 25th victory in 175 NASCAR Nationwide Series races.
This is the No. 60 Valvoline/O'Reilly's Auto Parts Ford driver's fifth victory and 29th top-10 finish in 2009. It is his third victory and ninth top-10 finish in ten races at Phoenix International Raceway. He came into today's event as the defending winner. Carl Edwards leads the first practice session for the November 14th Nationwide Series Able Body Labor 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.
Edwards’ lap of 131.038 mph in the No. 60 Ford was quickest of the 47 cars out on the track for this session. No. 11 Mike Bliss, No. 20 Denny Hamlin, No. 12 Justin Allgaier and No. 16 Matt Kenseth were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. Chris Lawson, in the No. 52 Chevrolet, at 122.616 mph, was the slowest.

Carl Edwards will make his 11h NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Phoenix International Raceway in this weekend’s Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500.
In his previous 10 starts, Edwards has accumulated one pole, four top-five and seven top-10 finishes. His average start at Phoenix is 11.8, his average finish is 13.0. Carl Edwards tops the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice session for the November 7th Nationwide Series O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
Edwards ran a fast lap of 184.200 mph in the No. 60 Ortho Ford. No. 16 Matt Kenseth, No. 6 David Ragan, No. 99 Trevor Bayne and No. 11 Mike Bliss rounded out the top 5 of the 41 cars out on the track.
