Joey Logano earned his first top-10 finish at Daytona International Speedway when he took the checkered flag for the Shootout at Daytona in the seventh position.
It was Logano's second start in the non-points race that kicked off the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Logano started from the 21st spot after crew chief Greg Zipadelli drew the position at the Shootout party. (With one lap to go), a six-car wreck broke out and the race ended under caution. Logano had avoided the incident and took the checkered flag in the seventh position.

Joey Logano will be making his second start in The Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.
Logano captured the 2009 Raybestos Rookie of the Year title to make him eligible for the all-star event. Last year, the team was hoping to gain invaluable experience in The Shootout after Logano finished 2nd in the ARCA RE/MAX race just hours earlier. Unfortunately Logano missed the Sprint Cup drivers meeting due to the caution-plagued ARCA race and was forced to start in the back for The Shootout. A multi-car incident broke out mid pack on lap four collecting Logano. The car was damaged beyond repair and Logano was scored in the 28th. -Elevation Group PR

In his first time out in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, Joey Logano took home the championship trophy; last year, he nearly did it again.
He hopes the third time is the charm in his quest to become a two-time winner. Logano, who was in Lake Placid, N.Y., over the weekend for the Fifth Annual Lucas Oil Geoff Bodine Bobsled Challenge presented by Whelen Engineering – which he won – confirmed that he will enter the "Daytona 500 of short-track racing" at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale (Calif.) on Jan. 29-30. -TheHotLap.com
