This is the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet driver's 23rd pole in 291 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. It is his fourth pole and 26th top-10 start in 2009. This is his second pole in nine races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His first Homestead pole came in 2007. He finished seventh in that race. -NASCAR PR

This is the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet driver's seventh victory and 23rd top-10 finish in 2009. It is his fourth victory and 11th top-10 finish in 13 races at Phoenix International Raceway. Johnson needs to finish 25th or better at Homestead-Miami Speedway to clinch his fourth championship. -NASCAR PR

Jimmie Johnson was at the top of the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice leading to the Sprint Cup Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.
Johnson, driving the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet, put up a 132.348 mph lap in the final practice. No. 5 Mark Martin, No. 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr., No. 1 Martin Truex Jr. and No. 2 Kurt Busch were the rest of the top 5 in that session. John Andretti, at 127.786 mph in the No. 34 Chevrolet, was the slowest.

Jimmie Johnson was at the top of the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice leading to Sunday’s Sprint Cup Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Johnson, driving the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet, put up a 186.670 mph lap in the final practice. No. 99 Carl Edwards, No. 11 Denny Hamlin, No. 16 Greg Biffle and No. 21 Bill Elliott were the rest of the top 5 in that session.
