The first race of the season was shaping up to be a successful one for Greg Biffle and the 3M team until Biffle spun on the first lap of a green-white-checker finish while challenging Kevin Harvick for the lead.
Biffle had been a top-10 contender for most of the night after drawing a fifth-place starting position at the draw party. Following the spin, Biffle was credited with a 15th-place finish.

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, will be forced to a back-up car for Saturday night’s Budweiser Shootout after being collected in a multi-car accident during first practice session.
Biffle commented about the accident immediately afterwards. "Yeah, it’s aggressive bump drafting. That’s what we were looking for – aggressive bump drafting. Trust me, we’re not finished. What are we, 20-30 minutes into practice? It’s gonna be awesome." -TheHotLap.com

Baker Curb Racing announced today that they have reached an agreement with Brad Parrott to be the crew chief on the team’s No. 27 Red Man Moist Snuff Ford Fusion which will be driven by Greg Biffle in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season.
The announcement reunites Parrott and Biffle, who in 2004 as a driver/crew chief tandem finished third in the Nationwide Series point standings, collecting five wins, two poles and 21 top-10 finishes in 34 races.(Biffle will drive return as driver of the Roush Fenway Racing No. 16 Cup car as well).

Baker Curb Racing announced today that the team has reached an agreement with Greg Biffle to drive in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season.
Red Man Moist Snuff will be the primary sponsor on Biffle’s No. 27 Ford Fusion, which will debut in the Camping World 300 at Daytona. Over Biffle’s 234 career starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series the 40-year old driver has collected 20 wins, 14 poles and the 2002 series championship. Of the 234 starts, 43 have been for Baker Curb Racing (formerly Brewco Motorsports) where from 2005-2008 he registered 17 top fives and 29 top 10’s.

Greg Biffle's #16 over-the-wall crew captured the 2009 Tissot Pit Road Precision Award season championship, a per race competition designed to recognize and reward the extraordinary talents of pit crews in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Biffle's crew came out on top by winning the Tissot competition six times during the 36-race Cup schedule. Jeff Gordon's #24 crew was second with five wins while Jimmie Johnson's #48 crew came in third with four wins. For winning the season-long Tissot Pit Road Precision Award title the #16 team will receive a $100,000 bonus from Tissot plus Tissot watches for the pit crew members and driver. The #16 Roush Fenway Racing crew will also receive an all-expense paid trip from Tissot to Las Vegas to accept the prize money and watches.-Jayski.com

Following a 14th-place finish in Phoenix, Greg Biffle remains seventh in the point standings.
Biffle went a lap down early in last year’s race at Homestead due to a pit road speeding violation but was able to race back into the top 10 before fuel mileage became a deciding factor.
