The Clippers have announced that Blake Griffin will undergo surgery on his left patella, which will force him to miss the next 4-to-6 months and effectively end his season.
Wow. What a disappointment. Griffin had recently been cleared to accelerate his rehabilitation from the fractured patella he suffered last October, and was expected to return to action in late January. But he saw a specialist Tuesday after complaining of discomfort in the injured knee, and the doctor determined that the patella was not healing satisfactorily and required additional surgery. The injury is not considered career-threatening, but any fantasy value Griffin held will now have to be deferred to next season. Source: NBA.com
