Dwight Howard and Magic coach Stan Van Gundy had a private meeting at Howard's request to iron out issues regarding Van Gundy's "negativity" towards the team.
Van Gundy took from the meeting that his approach was "draining the enthusiasm" from the team. The Magic responded with an inspired performance against Oklahoma City. Van Gundy's been on the hot seat at times and needs to keep productivity from his players high if he wishes to remain coaching in Orlando.

Dwight Howard played just 18 minutes and had 11 points, 10 rebounds and a blocked shot in Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
The Magic controlled this one from the tip and Howard picked up four fouls in his limited action. He didn't appear to suffer an injury and should be good to go for his next one.

Dwight Howard navigated foul trouble yet again on Monday, but he did manage 14 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.
Howard's solid numbers were offset by 6-of-14 free throw shooting, but that's not news. The Magic play two more games this week, then have a four-game slate in Week 5.

Marcin Gortat (flu) missed Sunday's practice and is doubtful to play Monday against the Bobcats.
Gortat's absence means that Dwight Howard should get as much run as he can handle.

Dwight Howard bounced back from two off games on Friday, posting 26 points, 12 rebounds, one steal and five blocks against the winless Nets.
The league's most dominant center had just one block in his previous three games, so this was a nice breakout for his fantasy owners. Like most elite NBA players, the only things that can limit him are foul trouble and injuries.
