As expected, the Sixers hired Rod Thorn to serve as team president, while Ed Stefanski, who held a dual role, will now focus on being the team's general manager.

Thorn is one of the most respected figures in the league and having him in the Philly front office should be a good thing.

Former Nets team president Rod Thorn will be the next president of the Sixers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Wojnarowski also said that current GM Ed Stefanski will be staying on board, and at a minimum fans are getting someone in Thorn that has probably forgotten more about NBA basketball than most league executives have ever known. Consider this a good pickup for the Sixers.

Andre Iguodala has been one of the stars of the Team USA training camp and he's expected to make the final roster for the World Championships in Turkey.

Under-appreciated in Philadelphia, Iguodala is showing what he can do when he's not asked to be "the man." Coach Mike Krzyzewski and USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo are raving about his ability to defend and distribute, while hinting that he'll be a key player on this summer's team. It should give Iguodala some much-needed momentum heading into his first season under new coach Doug Collins.

The Clippers may not be interested in 76ers swingman Andre Iguodala, according to beat writer Lisa Dillman.

Dillman also notes that the Clips disinterest "goes beyond that massive contract," and for now we can safely assume that Iguodala will still be in Philly next year.

The Clippers have reportedly inquired about 76ers forward Andre Iguodala, though there was "no indication that Los Angeles has made or will make an offer for Iguodala."

The Clippers can use a reliable SF but it doesn't seem likely that they'll get Iguodala -- they recently worked out Tracy McGrady and will continue to search for a veteran to ease the burden on rookie SF Al-Faroqu Aminu.

76ers president/GM Ed Stefanski said that he will continue to aggressively look for trades to improve his team's roster.

"After you come off of a 27-win season, you got to be aggressive," Stefanski said. "We are going to keep looking to see if we can tweak this even more." He declined to discuss specific players or positions.
