News that signing Allen Iverson may force the Knicks to move another player simultaneously could make this deal take several days to get done.
Iverson clears waivers at 6 p.m. Thursday, but signing him may involve moving another player - perhaps Chris Duhon - which will slow the process considerably. After indicating Wednesday that the Knicks would likely make Iverson an offer, on Thursday GM Donnie Walsh said that no decision had been reached, and one might not come soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Chris Duhon, who left Wednesday's game briefly with an elbow injury, hit just 1-of-5 shots but did have six points and eight assists in a win over the Pacers.
Duhon's shooting woes this season are quickly becoming legendary, but relief may be coming soon. If Allen Iverson is signed by the Knicks, Duhon will quickly become an afterthought.

Chris Duhon left Wednesday's game against the Pacers in the third quarter with a right elbow injury.
He was able to return later in the game and we'll have more information later tonight.
 Allen Iverson-G - Grizzlies Nov. 18 - 5:33 pm et  

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News speculates that Allen Iverson could be a Knick by Friday, meaning Wednesday could mark Chris Duhon's last start at point guard for the foreseeable future.
Conceivably, if the Knicks do sign AI, he could practice with the Knicks on Friday and be in uniform for Saturday's game against the Nets. While Isola doesn't indicate whether or not he thinks the Knicks will actually sign him, it is interesting that he's writing about Iverson possibly starting for them on Saturday. Iverson signing with the Knicks, or any other team, in the near future may still be a long shot, but it's probably a good idea to grab Iverson until we see how this plays out. A pair of Knicks losses on Wednesday and Saturday could force NY to extreme measures, which is exactly what signing Iverson would be.

Larry Hughes and Chris Duhon combined for eight points on 2-of-13 shooting in Friday's loss to the Warriors, which dropped the Knicks to a franchise-worst 1-9 start to the season.
These are the abysmal games that owners of either Hughes or Duhon (or, in unfortunate cases, both) need to steel themselves against. With Nate Robinson and Toney Douglas playing big roles off the bench, it's time to start considering your alternatives.

Toney Douglas will come off the bench for the Knicks Friday against the Warriors, after struggling for the past day with an undisclosed illness.
Coach Mike D'Antoni said Chris Duhon and Larry Hughes will start in the backcourt for the Knicks, and that he "won't hesitate" to use Douglas and Nate Robinson together.
