Oleksiy Pecherov started at power forward Sunday and had eight points and seven rebounds on 4-of-10 shooting.
The move seemed to do wonders for Ryan Gomes, who scored 23, but Pecherov will only have value in extremely deep leagues. Former starter Damien Wilkins came off the bench and scored five points in just 10 minutes. We doubt Pecherov is a permanent starter for the Wolves, but will probably be used based on matchups until Kevin Love (broken hand) returns.

Coach Kurt Rambis will start Oleksiy Pecherov against the Suns on Sunday, with Damien Wilkins heading to the bench.
It may seem odd that Wilkins is going to the bench after his double-double that included a game-winning shot on Wednesday, but this is probably just coach Kurt Rambis going big against the smallish Suns. If you're in a pinch, you could consider Pecherov with hopes that he can get a double-double of his own.

Damien Wilkins was somewhat of a surprise in the starting lineup on Wednesday and responded with 12 points, 10 boards, two assists and four steals, while also hitting the game-winning shot in a dramatic comeback win over the Nets.
No one saw a double-double coming from Wilkins, but he's got our attention now. It remains to be seen if he earned a starting job with this performance, but it's entirely possible. Keep a close eye on him, or pick him up if you're in a deep league.

Damien Wilkins is looking like the starter at small forward for Wednesday's opener against the Nets.
Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis plans on going with a small lineup with Ryan Gomes at power forward and Al Jefferson at center, so it should mean Wilkins draws the start. Gomes will switch to the power spot in order to guard Yi Jianlian.

Damien Wilkins started for the Wolves on Thursday, scoring seven points on 2-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 31 minutes.
It's entirely possible that Wilkins draws a few starts as the Wolves scramble to deal with the loss of Kevin Love, especially since he has veteran experience, just don't go over the deep end with your projections.

The Thunder have reportedly agreed to trade for Timberwolves center Etan Thomas. They will send Damien Wilkins, Chucky Atkins, and a 2010 second-round pick to Minnesota.
The Thunder might also give up another second-round pick in 2010 (they have five total picks) in order to bolster their frontcourt while shedding two superfluous contracts. None of the players involved should have significant fantasy value next season.
