An MRI has confirmed that Chris Paul has a sprained ankle. He could be on crutches for two weeks and remains out indefinitely.
Although Paul will be evaluated daily, early indications are that he'll miss between three-to-four weeks. The good news is that he doesn't have any structural damage, so just keep him benched and hope for some positive updates.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Chris Paul is expected to be on crutches for two weeks, and could miss three weeks to a month with a severely sprained ankle.
Wojo pegs the injury as being more serious than some reports have, and it makes sense. If he had just tweaked his ankle, we could see him coming back in less than three weeks. But this was a serious ankle injury that required him to be carried off the court, so it stands to reason that his recovery time is longer.

Chris Paul had a MRI test performed on his severely sprained left ankle Saturday, but the results aren't yet known.
Early indications are that CP3 could miss about two weeks of action, but we should have an official timeline before long. Rookie Darren Collison started at PG for the Hornets on Saturday and is worth picking up in fantasy leagues.

Chris Paul left Friday's game with a severely sprained left ankle. He will not play on Saturday and a team source indicated he could miss about two weeks.
After the game, "Paul was on crutches with an immobilized boot that extended to his knee." Guys like Devin Brown, Marcus Thornton and Bobby Brown will have to step up in his absence, but Darren Collison is the most promising fantasy pickup if you have an available roster spot.

Chris Paul is now peeved at Hornets' management for not being consulted about (or even informed of) Byron Scott's dismissal before it was announced to the media.
"I felt like, maybe somebody would have at least consulted with me and asked how I felt before it happened," Paul said. "It’s not to get my approval, but we feel we should know about the decision before it takes place." Paul was already pretty upset about the direction his team is heading in, and losing his coach probably isn't going to help. The good news is he says that he will continue to play as hard as he can every night.

The Hornets have fired head coach Byron Scott, according to league sources. The move will be formally announced at a news conference Thursday afternoon.
GM Jeff Bower will take over coaching duties for the Hornets, who are struggling at 3-6. Bower is a one-time Hornets assistant, but has never been a head coach in the NBA. Former head coach Tim Floyd will also rejoin the Hornets as an assistant.
