 Von Wafer-G- RocketsAug. 11 - 9:26 am et
Free agent guard Von Wafer has agreed to a two-year contract with Olympiakos worth approximately $10 million.
Wafer joins a stacked Greek team that already has Josh Childress and Linas Kleiza in the lineup. Like those two players, Wafer also has an opt-out clause that would allow him to return to the NBA next summer.

 Von Wafer-G - Rockets Aug. 6 - 9:25 am et

The Knicks are considering free agent Von Wafer to fill their hole at backup shooting guard.
Veteran Jerry Stackhouse is working out for the Knicks today. Wafer would be much more explosive than Stackhouse and wouldn't spend the entire season in the training room. But even if the Knicks go with mohawk man, it's unlikely he'll get enough minutes to have any value.

 Von Wafer-G - Rockets Jul. 3 - 9:08 pm et

The Rockets agreement with free agent Trevor Ariza makes it "highly unlikely" that Von Wafer will play in Houston next season, according to Wafer's agent, Mitchell Butler.
"None of it made any sense to me," Butler said. "From what I heard, they made a half-hearted effort to keep Ron and no effort to keep Von." He mentioned that several teams are interested in Wafer, but would not name them.

 Von Wafer-G - Rockets May. 18 - 10:20 am et

Rockets guard Von Wafer, who will become a free agent this summer, hopes to sign another contract with Houston.
"I love Houston, I love this organization," Wafer said. "They gave me a chance, so I’d love to be back." He averaged a career-high 9.7 points, getting extra minutes with Tracy McGrady sidelined, though his season was somewhat tarnished when he was kicked off the bench for complaining during Game 2 against the Lakers.

Von Wafer, who was kicked off the bench by coach Rick Adelman in Game 2, will be available for the Rockets for Friday's Game 3.
Wafer protested being taken out of Game 2 against the Lakers and was told to hit the showers. "He’s on the team," Adelman said. "We talked about it and it’s over with. He didn’t like coming out (of the game). He doesn’t have to like coming out, but it’s his job to accept that."

 Ron Artest-F - Lakers May. 7 - 1:15 am et

Ron Artest was ejected from Wednesday's Game 2 in the fourth quarter after being called for a foul on a play when Kobe clearly threw an elbow to Artest's throat.
Artest finished with 25 points and four threes, but lost his cool after he was somehow called for a foul on the play. Artest immediately went to the officials to complain, and then got into the face of Bryant before getting tossed by the officials. Stu Jackson was in attendance tonight, and could be handing out a lot of discipline over the next few days. Derek Fisher was ejected for a brutal foul on Luis Scola, while Von Wafer was sent home early after an incident on the bench with his own coach.
