Sundiata Gaines scored a career-high 12 points against the Kings on Friday, hitting 5-of-13 shots from the field with one rebound, five assists, and three steals.
Gaines actually finished the game out at point guard, which one could argue puts him neck-and-neck with Ronnie Price for the backup point guard spot, but that's irrelevant in fantasy leagues. With Deron Williams (personal) likely to return for the Jazz's next game Monday, neither of them will have value.

Ronnie Price is expected to start in place of Deron Williams (funeral) on Friday.
Price has made two spot starts for Williams already this year and averaged 12.0 points, 7.5 assists and 2.0 treys in those games. If you're in a daily league and looking for a one-game boost, Price is an option.

Deron Williams will miss Friday's game against the Kings in order to attend a funeral in West Virginia.
Williams was in foul trouble Wednesday, but still finished with 24 points, five rebounds, seven assists, two 3-pointers and five turnovers in the win, but owners need to make other arrangements for Friday. Ronnie Price will likely start in his absence.

Ronnie Price's shoulder (tendinitis) is still bothering him and interfering with his play.
This is news if Deron Williams misses any time with his wrist. If both Williams and Price are hindered, Sundiata Gaines will be worth picking up as a fill in.

Deron Williams (wrist) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Bucks.
Owners can breath a sigh of relief knowing that this isn't a long-term problem. It sounds like a simple aggravation of the sprain/bruise he dealt with last week and he's considered day-to-day. Ronnie Price would start if Williams can't go Saturday.

Ronnie Price returned to action on Thursday from a shoulder injury and had 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and a 3-pointer in Thursday's win over the Cavs.
Deron Williams left with a wrist injury tonight, and while Sundiata Gaines was the star of the show, Price is a better pickup if Williams is going to miss time after aggravating his wrist injury.
