The Grizzlies are "discussing" a trade in which they would acquire Jazz G/F Ronnie Brewer in exchange for a first-round draft pick, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
It would be a straight salary dump for the Jazz, who are currently over the luxury tax threshold, and it would crush Brewer's fantasy value. The Grizz, meanwhile, would use Brewer to bolster their bench and he'd have a hard time finding shots/minutes in Memphis behind O.J. Mayo, Rudy Gay, and Zach Randolph. Brewer owners better cross their fingers that this doesn't go down. Andrei Kirilenko and C.J. Miles would benefit if Brewer is out of the mix. Source: Memphis Commercial Appeal
