 Chris Quinn-G- NetsJan. 5 - 5:21 pm et
The Heat have traded Chris Quinn has been traded to the Nets for a heavily protected 2010 second-round pick, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.
The Nets also get cash and a 2012 second-round pick in the deal, which should clear the way for the Heat to sign point guard Rafer Alston, who was bought out by the Nets recently. Quinn's not likely to have any value at all in Jersey, but Alston should take over starting duties from Carlos Arroyo once he signs with Miami, making him an automatic pickup.

 Rafer Alston-G - Heat Jan. 5 - 5:02 pm et

Rafer Alston, whose contract was recently bought out by the Nets, is poised to be signed by the Miami Heat, where he should quickly move into the starting lineup.
The Nets acquired backup point guard Chris Quinn for a heavily protected draft pick on Tuesday, clearing the way for Alston to go to the Heat. Quinn has no fantasy value, but Alston should probably be picked up in most fantasy leagues, as he's expected to replace current starter Carlos Arroyo if he does officially sign with Miami.

 Carlos Arroyo-G - Heat Dec. 4 - 11:03 am et

With Chris Quinn set to return to the lineup and a contract that isn't guaranteed, Carlos Arroyo is at risk for losing his spot on the roster with the Heat.
Arroyo has done little with the minutes given to distinguish himself. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him released.

 Mario Chalmers-G - Heat Nov. 15 - 2:30 pm et

Mario Chalmers (shoulder) is still experiencing pain in his injured right shoulder, but is "hopeful" that he will play Tuesday against the Thunder.
"I don't know how it happened. After I threw the pass, I felt numbness in my shoulder and a sharp pain. Right now, it feels OK, still a little sore and painful," said Chalmers. This isn't as solid of an update as we would like, but we're leaning towards him playing Tuesday.

 Chris Quinn-G - Nets Nov. 10 - 10:16 pm et

Backup Heat point guard Chris Quinn (foot) was available to play on Tuesday but never set foot on the court.
Quinn has been dealing with foot and toe issues for as long as we care to remember. With Mario Chalmers starting and Carlos Arroyo as a backup, there's no reason to own Quinn in fantasy leagues.
 Chris Quinn-G - Nets Nov. 2 - 5:00 pm et

Backup point guard Chris Quinn finally practiced through a foot injury and has been cleared to play Tuesday against the Suns.
Quinn could eat into the minutes of starter Mario Chalmers a bit, but shouldn't make much of a difference in fantasy leagues, or in real life Heat basketball.
