Wizards guard Randy Foye was helped off the court on Tuesday after spraining his right ankle. X-rays were negative but he left the arena wearing a protective boot.
There is no timetable available yet, but we'll pass it along once we know more. In the meantime, Nick Young and DeShawn Stevenson will pick up extra minutes for the short-handed Wizards.

Randy Foye started at shooting guard against the Suns on Sunday.
Coach Flip Saunders felt like he needed some offense punch against the Suns, and that Foye would be a better option than Nick Young. With Mike Miller (shoulder) out for about a week, this may be Foye's best game during that time.

Randy Foye didn't get the start we all expected on Friday, but hit a couple treys and finished with 16 points, four boards and two assists off the Wizards' bench.
Nick Young started but scored just three points. Foye still looks like the guy to own in the absence of Mike Miller, who will miss 7-10 days with a shoulder injury.

Nick Young will start at SG Friday against the Pacers, in place of the injured Mike Miller.
"It's another opportunity," Coach Flip Saunders said. "I'm giving him a shot to see what he can do." Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but Saunders is giving Young the nod over both DeShawn Stevenson and Randy Foye. Depending partly on how he performs Friday, Young might offer some value in deeper leagues while Mike Miller remains out.

The Wizards have exercised their contract options on guard Nick Young and center JaVale McGee for the 2010-11 season.
Young was the 16th overall pick in the 2007 draft and averaged 9.3 points and 1.7 rebounds over his first two NBA seasons. McGee was the 18th overall pick in the 2008 draft and averaged 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds last year as a rookie.

JaVale McGee logged a whopping 42 seconds in Wednesday's season-opening win over the Mavericks.
He finally got in the game near the end of the first half and did not return. It's disappointing considering McGee averaged 17.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in the Las Vegas summer league. Coach Flip Saunders opted not to play both Mike James and Nick Young at all in the game.
