Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups, Daequan Cook, Stephen Curry, Danilo Gallinari and Channing Frye have been selected to participate in the 3-point shooutout at All-Star weekend.
Most importantly, this assures us that Pierce's foot is not in any serious danger. He almost certainly won't play Friday but will try to talk Doc Rivers into letting him play on Sunday. As for the shooutout, Cook is back to defend his crown while Gallinari is leading the NBA in 3-pointers made per game.

Daequan Cook rolled his ankle at the morning shootaround and won't play against the Wizards Friday.
Cook only plays in garbage time these days. He'll hang around the league because he can shoot the trey.

Daequan Cook returned from a bout with pink eye on Sunday, and managed just two points in 12 minutes of action.
Dorell Wright has replaced him and James Jones as the first perimeter player off the bench for the Heat, for whatever that is worth. Cook needs an extreme change of fortunes to be worth a sniff in fantasy leagues once again.

As expected, Jermaine O'Neal is out due to a family matter, and Chris Quinn is also inactive. Cook is not playing a whole lot right now, but when he's in the rotation he is a good source of 3-pointers.
