Arron Afflalo started at shooting guard for the Nuggets on Friday and could stay in the role going forward.
He scored 10 points in 19 minutes, which is right around his average. But now that J.R. Smith is back, Afflalo loses a lot of fantasy appeal, even though he's starting.

Arron Afflalo hit 7-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 18 points, four boards, two assists and a steal in Friday's loss to the Heat - the Nuggets first L of the season.
He's averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 threes in his last two games, and could eventually find himself in the starting lineup at some point. Give him a look in deeper leagues.

Consider him day-to-day and look for Arron Afflalo to have a couple more nice lines if Graham remains out.

Stephen Graham left Tuesday's win over the Pacers in the fourth quarter with a sprained right toe, leaving him questionable for Wednesday against the Nets.
He'll test the toe in pre-game warmups before making a decision on whether to play. If he's out, Arron Afflalo, who scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting last night, should be in line for even more minutes.

The Nuggets have exercised their fourth-year contract option to keep Aaron Afflalo in Denver through 2010-11.
Afflalo hasn't done much through two games this season, but he's a solid defender and the Nuggets need him to replace the energy that Dahntay Jones and Linas Kleiza used to provide off the bench.
