Wizards swingman Dominic McGuire worked on his mid-range game this offseason.
He said he tried to focus on 3-pointers last season, but didn't feel comfortable -- which is very odd, considering he attempted four 3-pointers all season. He shouldn't be drafted, whether or not his mid-range game has actually improved.

Dominic McGuire, who has been very inconsistent this season, was on Friday, finishing with eight points, 11 boards, five assists, two steals and three blocks.
He had just two points and two rebounds in his previous games, so congratulations are in order if you played him in this one. He should be a serviceable fantasy play with two remaining games.

Dominic McGuire posted a strong line against the Cavs on Thursday, scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting with 10 rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes of action.
McGuire is much too inconsistent to trust during the fantasy playoffs, but if Javaris Crittenton (back) misses more time on a day that Gilbert Arenas takes a planned day off, one could conceivably use McGuire in a deeper league and expect reasonable results.

If you started McGuire this week, this line was a breath of fresh air. You already know he's not going to score (averaging 4.3 ppg this season), but this was the first time in the past six games that he's recorded more than one steal and one block.

Dominic McGuire was held scoreless in 41 minutes against the Bulls on Monday, though he did have seven rebounds, seven assists and one block.
This should surprise nobody. It was McGuire's second consecutive scoreless game and he's failed to score more than 10 points in a game this month.

Wizards swingman Dominic McGuire was scoreless on Saturday, finishing 0-of-4 from the field with five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes.
McGuire has shown flashes of brilliance this season, and fantasy owners certainly appreciate his solid assists, steals and blocks. But he's going to have to score more than 6.5 points per game (his March average) to general lasting appeal.
