The Celtics and Bobcats are discussing a trade revolving around Glen Davis and D.J. Augustin, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.
The deal makes sense for both sides, but additional players would be needed to make it work. Davis would satisfy Larry Brown's desire for a big man that provides toughness while Augustin would give the Celts a viable backup point guard for Rajon Rondo. Even if this trade goes down, we wouldn't run to the wire to add either one.

According to Yahoo! Sports, league executives say Larry Brown is determined to trade D.J. Augustin for a veteran big man.
The Augustin rumors keep popping up, but it's very possible there isn't much of a market out there. With Nazr Mohammed seemingly re-energized and Tyson Chandler getting healthy, Brown may be convinced to hold off. We do still think that Augustin has fantasy upside and a change of scenery could be big.

Flip Murray got his licks in against the Warriors on Friday, scoring 12 points on 2-of-6 shooting (8-of-10 from the foul line) with five rebounds and four assists.
D.J. Augustin also had 14 points with three rebounds, six assists, and three 3-pointers, but both players' performances need to be taken with a grain of salt against the Warriors.

Bobcats backup D.J. Augustin scored a season high 22 points on Saturday, making 8-of-14 FGs, including 5-of-9 three-pointers.
Augustin has now played 20+ minutes in three straight games for the first time since Stephen Jackson arrived in Charlotte. He had only averaged 5.0 points and 1.0 assist in the past two, however, and we remain skeptical of his fantasy value while Jax and Raymond Felton are around.

D.J. Augustin hit 3-of-7 shots for eight points and zero assists in Friday's loss.
Raymond Felton left early with a sprained ankle, but it was Flip Murray who looked like the backup point guard with nine assists. Felton tested his ankle at halftime and couldn't go, but he might not miss too much time with the injury.

Flip Murray had 11 points, nine assists and a 3-pointer in Friday's loss to the Hawks.
The Cats were going for their seventh straight win tonight, but didn't have much for the Hawks. Raymond Felton left with a sprained ankle early, and it was Murray, not D.J. Augustin, who looked like the backup point guard on this night.
