An X-Ray revealed that Kevin Love's broken hand is progressing, but he's still about two weeks from practicing and three weeks from playing in a game.
Love did some outside shooting Friday, and though he says he feels almost no pain in his hand, he is unable to do anything physical. If he returns Dec. 11 against the Lakers, that would put him right in the 6-to-8 week recovery time originally reported when he broke his hand Oct. 16.

Kevin Love (hand surgery) will have his hand X-rayed on Friday to determine whether it has healed enough for him to return to practice.
The over/under on Love's return date seems to be around the end of November, meaning he shouldn't be on too many waiver wires at this point.

Kevin Love (hand surgery) hopes to return in two weeks, according to ESPN's Ric Bucher.
ESPN's Ric Bucher reports that Love "says he'll be back in two weeks," though it's unclear whether that means practicing or playing in games. Either way, he'll be back before December and shouldn't be lingering on many waiver wires at this point.

Keven Love said Friday that his statement on Wednesday that he could return to practice in two weeks may have been too optimistic.
Love's hand is healing a bit slower than he originally thought, so it seems safe to move his targeted return back to late-November. Still, he looks likely to return soon, so we recommend picking him up now if you can.

Kevin Love had the stitches removed from his broken left hand on Wednesday and is now targeting Nov. 20 for a return to action.
He will get another X-ray in two weeks and if all goes well, should be cleared to practice at that point. And if he suffers no set back, he could easily play against the Blazers on Nov. 21, which would mean he'll miss just seven more games. It's time to pick him up if you can get him.

Kevin Love, out with a broken bone in his left hand, believes his recovery is ahead of schedule and is targeting November 20 to make a possible return.
"My hand feels good ... just a little bit of swelling. I don't have a lot of pain. I just can't make a complete fist yet." Love has been staying in shape, and if he does return November 20, it would be about a month sooner than expected. Yes, it's time to pick him up.
