Spurs guard George Hill manged just seven points, two rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
This dip in production shouldn't catch any of his fantasy owners by surprise, as the return of Tony Parker moved him back to his customary reserve role (albeit slightly increased by the absence of Manu Ginobili).

George Hill started his second consecutive game for injured Tony Parker (ankle) on Thursday, scoring 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting (1-of-5 from downtown) with one rebound and two assists.
With Parker and Manu Ginobili (groin) out, we thought he might achieve "sneaky play" status, and he didn't disappoint. Hill is earning his stripes right now, which could lead to more run later in the year, but he will struggle to produce consistently when the Spurs are at full strength.

As expected, Tony Parker (ankle) will not play Thursday against the Jazz.
With Manu Ginobili (groin) out as well, George Hill is a sneaky play, while Richard Jefferson and Tim Duncan should carry the load. The Spurs are also coming off a tough overtime loss to the Mavs on Wednesday, so fatigue could certainly be an issue. DeJaun Blair is a good candidate for extra minutes, as well.

George Hill had 15 points, four assists and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's start for Tony Parker, who was a surprise DNP with his lingering ankle injury.
If we could only figure out when Parker (or any Spurs) were going to be out of the lineup, Hill would be a heady pickup. But as it stands, he's only going to really be effective when Parker is out. And Gregg Popovich isn't likely to share that information in advance very often.

Coach Gregg Popovich said Sunday that he plans to use George Hill more frequently alongside Tony Parker in the Spurs' backcourt.
The Spurs have been playing well with this combo, especially as Manu Ginobili has struggled with a hamstring problem. This year, Hill has averaged around 27 minutes, 12 points, three rebounds, an assist, 1.5 steals, and half a block per game. He's worth keeping an eye on to see if Pop is onto something.

Filling in for injured Tony Parker (ankle), Spurs guard George Hill notched 22 points, five assists and one steal in 36 minutes on Tuesday.
Parker could miss a few more games, making Hill a decent short-term fantasy option. His capable play at PG is a great sign for the deep Spurs, as an insurance policy in case Parker ever suffers a long-term injury.
